I'm thankful for knitting.
I'm thankful for people who knit.
I'm thankful for our local library having a knitting circle once a
month. I'm thankful that the librarians are willing to help with
figuring out patterns in books the library has and encouraging the love
of knitting.
I'm thankful that there are people who are willing
to share pattern resources with me. I'm thankful that they also
encourage me to get into more complex patterns and while they aren't
always able to help me when I get stuck... It makes me very thankful
for the someone who suggested that I check out the website verypink.com.
I'm thankful for the crystal clear videos on this website and the big
list of videos broken down into categories ex. cast ons, increases, etc.
as it's helped me to salvage some of my projects from patterns that I
found confusing or weren't very clear.
I'm thankful for knitting
as it helps me pass the wait time at appointments for medical,
meetings, public transportation, etc. I'm thankful as it helps me to
focus on something and take my mind off the physical pain I feel on bad
days. I'm thankful that it gives me a skill I can eventually use to
bless others.
I'm thankful for the Elizabeth Zimmerman videos and "The Complete Beginner's Guide to Knitting" by Nici Beason because a little over one
year ago I didn't believe it was possible for me to even begin to learn
something as complex as knitting. I'm thankful for the 107 completed
projects that show in my pictures as it shows that with
perseverance, humility, and sticking to it I am capable of learning
something new.
