Reiki (What is it)

Reiki (pronounced ray key) is a generic word in Japan meaning Universal Life Energy & is described as spiritually guided life force energy.

The practice of REIKI is that of gently laying on the hands & transmitting this "Universal Life Energy" to assist the body in healing.

Because REIKI is guided by the God-consciousness, it can never do harm. It always knows what a person needs & will adjust itself to create the effect that is appropriate for them.

A person giving REIKI is called a practitioner. This is someone who has been attuned through ritual to activate the energy flow. A practitioner is not the source of energy, but only a channel or coduient for the energy.

Because Reiki is guided by the God-consciousness, it can never do harm. It always knows what a person needs & will adjust itself to create the effect that is appropriate for them. A person giving Reiki is called a practitioner. This is someone who has been attuned thought ritual to activate the energy flow. A practitioner is not the source of energy but only a channel or condiment for the energy Treatment Most sessions are performed on a massage table & can be done while client is sitting a chair. You are comfortably dressed with the shoes removed for comfort. The practitioner will place their hands on the body in a very gently non-invasive manner. As the hands are moved to the different positions, a feeling of relaxation & deep well-being follow. Why Reiki? Reiki is both powerful & gentle. In its long history of use it has aided in healing virtually every known illness & injury including serious problems like: MS, heart disease, cancer, skin problems, cuts bruises, broken bones, headache, colds, flu, sore throat, sunburn, fatigue , insomnia, impotence, poor memory, lack of confidence, etc. It is always beneficial & works to improve the effectiveness of all other types of therapy. IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL CARE OF ANY KIND. Although Reiki is spiritual in nature & comes from the divine, it does not hold to any dogma, & is compatible with any belief system or religion.
