1 cup butter
2½ cups flour
2 eggs
1/3
cup sugar
10 oz strawberry preserves.
Cut butter into the
flour. Beat sugar and eggs and mix into the flour mixture. Spread in
ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350°. Remove from oven
and spread preserves on dough.

4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups chopped walnuts
Combine sugar with
eggs and vanilla and fold in walnuts. Pour over top of preserves and
bake at 350° for 30 minutes more. When cool, dust with confectioners
sugar. Cut into diamond shapes.
